The Make It To The Mic! School of Comedy offers something unique and
incredible we like to call our "Mentors Program".

We get by with a little help from our friends!!  Each week of the program,
we invite a comedian to come down and “throw it down” with the class!
They participate in improv games, help build standup sets and give valuable
tips for their budding comedy lives. Most of them don't know what to
expect and they ask,
"Should I be prepared with anything?".  The answer is
always,
"No! Just be a kid when you walk through the door!".  No one has
failed us yet and they keep coming back!  We love you guys...so this page is
dedicated to YOU!!
The Mentors!!
"Improv is
not like
working
without a
net. It's like
knowing that
your net is
always there,
within
yourself."

-Mel Brooks
"Common
sense and
a sense of
humor
are the
same
thing,
moving at
different
speeds. A
sense of
humor is
just
common
sense,
dancing"

Week 2 with the "funny" crew and Eric Schwartz
Tony Rock

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Rock has
been performing stand-up for the last six years. In
his native New York, he is a regular at Comic Strip,
Comedy Cellar, Boston Comedy Club, Caroline's,
and Stand-up New York. While in Los Angeles, he
can be seen at the Comedy Store, Improv, Ice
House and Laugh Factory and as a special guest of
Make It To The Mic!

Tony has lent his voice to the show "Battle Bots,"
and he is best known for his role as Dirk Black in
the CW series "All Of Us."
Eric Schwartz

Eric Schwartz aka Smooth-E is more than meets
the four eyes. He's the guy in your office or class
youd never expect to see rocking the crowd into a
frenzy at the local karaoke bar. Schwartz's comedy
defies the boundaries of traditional stand-up. His
multimedia appeal has the power to reach beyond
the stage and onto traditional and new media. For

Nadine Rajabi

Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism,
fearless.  In fact, she was the youngest paid regular
at the Hollywood Improv, and is now a paid regular
on East Coast Clubs like “Stand-Up New York”.
Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and
being noted as the “one of the youngest and
brightest up and comers” are just a few of her
accomplishments. Besides catching Nadine on
television, you can currently hear her on National
Lampoon Radio everyday on XM Channel 154,
where she shares her celebrity and pop culture
gossip. For more Nadine check out her comedy

Nick Thune

I am a stand-up comedian.  You can see me at
the Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, terrible
coffee houses or bars, and other places around
the country depending on my schedule.  In the
winter of 2006 I was invited to perform at the HBO
Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Co.  Soon after
Comedy Central asked me make some short
films and shoot a stand-up special (special will be
airing in 2007).

I am also an actor.  I recently did some small to
medium size roles in Unaccompanied Minors,
Knocked Up, License to Wed, and Spring
Breakdown.  The films are in the process of being
finished.  All are set to release in late 2006 and
early 2007.
